Established in 2006, we have been providing a One-stop Solution for Merchant Sourcing and Partnerships, serving both international and local Financial Institutions, MNCs and SMEs. Our strength lies in the areas of customer loyalty programs, merchant partnerships, merchant activations and user-activation management using both traditional and digital communication channels

The Group works with software developers to bring you simple low cost solutions for our clients and merchants through our subsidiary SnapIT (M) Sdn Bhd, with the objective of increasing your brand awareness, with both existing and new customers ... with the ultimate goal of increasing your companies’ revenue.

Food Culture or FoodCult in short, is the group’s latest social enterprise where we would envisage to encourage our customers to live a healthier lifestyle, through fresh food and herbs. Wellness is enhanced through 1,000 years of Traditional Therapy catering to your mind, soul and physical health.

FoodCult will also be spearheading our 2 CSR programs, focusing on providing assistance to the less fortunate and giving a new start in life (Yellow Ribbon Project – CARE).

SnapIT is a company that Nardell invested in and visionize to be the leading provider of Fintech Solutions for SMEs. We partner with software developers, introducing solutions on a SAAS model that focuses on location based marketing, customer engagements, food ordering and e-Market place. Low cost, economical, user friendly marketing tool to bring businesses from offline to online driving an increase of not only revenue but also presence.

As a social enterprise, FoodCult Sdn Bhd, aims to enhance wellness and healthy lifestyle through Food Culture. Incorporating concepts of Yin and Yang from traditional Chinese medicine, we advocate the use of urban farming using modern farming technologies to bring fresh vegetables and herbs and plants, providing affordable health and wellness to everyone.

Meet The Team

Bernard Tian

Bernard Tian is the founder of Nardell Group of Companies. With more than 30 years of experience in the Loyalty, Direct Marketing and Database Marketing, he founded Nardell Sdn Bhd in 2006 leading the company to serve various Financial Institutions in their loyalty and usage programs.

Bernard started off his career in 1987 where he joined Mail Order Gallery Group as a pioneer team looking after the financial matters and later involved in the growth of the company to some of the main countries of SouthEast Asia. In 1993, he moved on to TV Media which started its operations in Singapore and expanded to over 9 different countries including Australia, Japan and Russia over the years. Bernard joined a Hong Kong based company in 1995 where the company conceptualized and managed Nestle’s Mother and Baby Club with their loyalty program. The company also has a regional call centre handling 4 different languages, servicing Microsoft Corporation, Nestle Hong Kong and other key financial institutions for their customer support in product redemption and fulfillment centre.

In 1996, Bernard was invited to return to the Mail Order Gallery Group as Vice President – Franchise and Business Development, looking after franchise operations in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei and Philippines. With his team, he opens new markets with retailers such as Watsons and Mannings in HongKong, Taiwan and China, where sales exceed SGD 80 Million annually.

In 1999, Bernard started his 2nd company, as a database provider from our neighbouring country for non government organizations such as UNICEF, WHO, Aids for Africa and many others to raise funds for their charity work around the world. Other private organisations that use these databases include Reader’s Digest and The Economist, just to name a few. In the same year, Bernard was presented an opportunity from a Singapore Listed company to be involved in the first VOIP call centre where he joined their subsidiary as their Vice President of Operations later on. Unfortunately the dot.com industry faced a downturn in 2001. It was not until 2004, where he took on a General Manager role with an Australian Wine Club company delivering different boutique wines to club members in Malaysia and Singapore. This was a turning point for Bernard where he decided to move to Malaysia, managing the company from its KL office.

Bernard visionize Nardell Group of companies to be the leader in providing a suite of solutions for managing and enhancing customers’ loyalty and engagements, lifestyle offerings , privileges and a cashless society whilst creating through his social enterprise on food culture.

Barry Chan

Barry Chan, present Chief Strategist and Advisor of the Nardell Group, and Executive of Food Cult Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary company under Nardell Group of Companies. Barry , who is a Singaporean Chinese has 40 years of experience in the solution and service provider under the category of Fintech, Hospitality and Tourism leading FoodCult with his expertise of business operations.

Prior to the Financial Crisis downfall in the asian market early 2000, Barry gained success by working closely with most of the Fortune Big 500 Companies which are based in the financial hub of Asia, Hong Kong and Singapore. Just to name a few companies, Barry has worked with HSBC Group, Citibank, Disney, StarTV, Microsoft, IBM and many others that led to his vast range of networks.

Barry foray into China Market in 2000 by participating in various Hospitality and Tourism projects and investments in some of the main cities in China. The first 99RMB Inn in Hangzhou, developed and owned by Genting Berhad was designed, strategized and co-developed by Barry during his collaboration with Genting Group in China leading to the transformation of Hotels and Tourism’s operating model in China. Other than that, Barry also had the experience of working with financial institutes such as Mastercard and Haihang Group in issuing the Global Prepaid Mastercard in Hong Kong and China developing Merchant Networks and Acceptance reaching out to the Malaysian market.

With his vast exposure in the global market, his knowledge and experience in these industries and business models are now strategizing towards a new era and roadmap in Nardell. With the roadmap utilized, Nardell aims to be transformed into a self-sustainable social responsible enterprise in Asia.

Evelyn Tan

Evelyn Tan, is the lead of the Department of Strategic Partnership. With her amiable personalities, positive outlooks and communication skills, she is responsible to drive her team to manage, develop and maintain new and existing relationships with merchants and clients.

Joined Nardell since 2015, Evelyn has been cultivating positive working relationships by utilizing her consultation approach in addressing merchants’ issues and referring leads among team members in the company. She is also known for efficiency with her knowledge in client’s product, company and industry that leads to better relationships with Nardell’s merchants.

With the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, Evelyn stands as a representative of the company, liaising and attending meetings with merchants to identify new opportunities for new partnerships.

Lyan Tan

Lyan is an experienced business administrator with the background in Customer Loyalty Management, Client Relations, Human Resources and Finance. She is a visionary administrative professional recognized for making significant contributions to both coordination and organization of office operations. Lyan is known to be highly motivated and resourceful with the proficiency in understanding the needs and business methodologies of Nardell’s clients.

A team member of Nardell since 2011 , Lyan is highly effective at incorporating creative leadership skills to achieve in the company’s business objectives. In addition, Lyan is responsible for managing human resource, administration and finance task proving her ability to be successful in multi-tasking in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while achieving other deadlines given.

Samuel Chang

Samuel Chang is an established marketeer, hailing from the corporate sector with experience in Consumer Banking, Digital Media Advertising and Customer Loyalty Management. His early days of career were spent in the banking sector where his skills of product and segment management was built, in which he was constantly challenged and pushed through the conventional ideas. He has been involved in many ground breaking initiatives, from launching new products and propositions, to digitalising marketing and processes.

Samuel is credited specifically for his success in the areas of Unsecured Lending, Distribution/Branch Banking and SME banking. His achievement has honed his skills over the years in various channels in the banking industry. His rapport towards digital marketing led him to a new path where he joined a regional Ad Tech Company. As a consultant and advisor to top media agencies, he influenced the digital marketing sectors in 2 key areas with Experiential Consumer Engagement and Data Driven Ad Campaigns which landed him opportunities to work with top brands of anchor industries.

In 2017, Samuel was invited to join the Nardell Group of Companies with an executive level position. His achievement led the group in new areas of expansion, establishing a new team to provide new go-to-market service to Tech companies at the same time setting up the Group’s own Fintech capabilities.

Sue Yen

Sue Yen has more than 8 years of experience devising and delivering complex Creative and Media strategies for regional brands. She has the knowledge and skills to grow customers bases rapidly and deliver significant growth results. Her expertise spans all channels of marketing including Activation, PR, Online, Email, Print and more which gives her a holistic approach to any organization.

She joined Nardell Group in 2020 as Group Marketing Manager. Her focus is to strengthening the core strategic visions and implementations of the business to deliver innovative and sustainability campaigns and services in an increasing competitive market.

Prior to that, Sue Yen was the Creative Director at Merveille Works PLT in 2018 executed in various media projects and brand activations for international companies such as Subsea 7 Asia Pacific, B2Link Corporation South Korea, Martell, Heineken Malaysia (formerly known as Guinness Anchor Berhad) and etc.
